Official name of China is “People Republic Of China”.
China is a country located in East Asia.
It’s total area is 3,705,407 square miles (9,596,961 square km).
It is the third largest country of the world by area.
Total population of China is approximately 1.439 million.
The total population of China is equal to 18.47% of the total world population.
It is largest country according to its population.
China arose as one of the world’s first civilizations, in the fertile basin of the Yellow River in the North China Plain.
China was one of the world’s foremost economic powers for most of the centuries from the 1st until the 19th century.
China has the extensive coastal plains, the world’s largest plateau (Tibetan plateau) as well as the world’s tallest mountain (Mount Everest) .
Mount Everest is located between China and Nepal.
Tibetan plateau stretches through Tibet, China and India. It is four times the size of the state of Texas.
Shanghai is its largest, as well as safest city and it is under the administration of the State Council of China.
The cleanest city of China is Hong Kong.
Shanghai is second populous city in world with approximately 27,058,100+ people.
China is surrounded by Mountains (33%) , Plateau (26%) and by Hills (10%).

Beijing

Beijing is the sprawling capital of the People’s Republic of China.
Beijing is the world’s most populous capital city.
This city consists of over 21 million residents living.
Total area of Beijing is 4,567 square km (1,763 square miles).
Beijing city is located in Northern China.
It’s old name was Peking. This name was imposed by occupying Japanese in year 1937.
In 1945 the Nationalist Government restored the name “Beiping” .Now it is popular for its name Beijing.
It is governed as a municipality under the direct administration of the State Council including 16 urban, suburban and rural districts.
Beijing is mostly surrounded by Hebei Province.
Beijing is surrounded on three sides (east, west and south) by the Yanshan Mountains.
In 2018 Beijing was ranked at 122nd position among the most-polluted cities by IQ Air Air Visual list .
Beijing is one of the safest cities in the world in terms of crimes.
Many major rivers, including the Yongding, Juma, Chaobai and Wenyu flow through Beijing Municipality.
These rivers originate in the highlands of Hebei and Shanxi and eventually flow into the Hai River, that empties into the Bohai Sea.
Beijing is so much famous for the Great Wall of China and Forbidden City.

Languages

Standard Chinese is the official language of People’s Republic Of China.
The official dialect of China is Mandarin.
In linguistics, Standard Chinese is known as Standard Beijing Mandarin, Standard Northern Mandarin or simply Mandarin.
Mandarin is also called “Putonghua”.
Over 70% of the Chinese population speaks Mandarin.
In China there are also several other major dialects in use (i.e; Min dialect, Gan dialect, Wu dialect and Kejia or Hakka dialect etc ).
Mandarin is the hardest language of the world.

Religion

In China the main religions are Buddhism, Chinese folklore, Taoism and Confucianism among many others.
10–16% (~ people) of the population are Buddhists .
10% (~ people) of the population are Taoist.
0.4% (~ people) of the population are Muslims.
Chinese folk religions in China are practiced in more than approximately 80% of the population.

According to the constitution (Chinese), The China is a socialist state.
Chinese government has been variously described as communist as well.
The government of China runs under the framework of a single party that is the CCP (Chinese Communist Party).
CCP is headed by the General Secretary.
General Secretary is the Paramount leader and the highest-ranking official of China .
Mao Zedong was the first chairman of People Republic Of China.
Chiang Kai-shek was the first elected president of People Republic Of China (20th May in 1948).

Political figures of China

The President of China is the head of state, Military Chairman of China, General Secretary as well as the head of government at the same time.
Xi Jinping has served as General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) since 2012.
The current president of People Republic of China is also Xi Jinping, he took office on 11th of March in year 2013.
The office was first established in 1954 ( Constitution of China) and successively held by Liu Shaoqi and Mao Zedong .
Vice Presidents of People Republic Of China are Wang Qishan and Li Yuanchao .
Wang Yang is a member of the Politburo Standing Committee and Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCCL).
Zhou Qiang is the current Chief Justice and the President of Supreme People’s Court of China.
Zhang Jun served as former judge and he is now serving as the Procurator-General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate and the Minister of Justice.
